Community rules

Our service is our Community. This service is constantly being improved by our members’ posts. With this in mind, we have set up a number of rules to help you make a positive contribution to our Community

It must be authentic – the inside look at a company always gives details which can only come from actual or former employees. Any comment published on JobFact has to be related to a job not older than 5 years. If we have any doubt as to the authenticity of any comment your post won’t be published.

There is always something positive to share - Take a few minutes to think about the positive aspects of your work environment before writing your review. What our members are looking for is a balanced and fair review which strikes a balance between “pros” and “cons”. Reviews that do not reflect this approach may not be published.

Don’t forget confidentiality – There is a big difference between confidential information and information coming from within a company. Posts that contain confidential information about a company or any other information that you are not contractually allowed to disclose should not be submitted and will not be published, if identified by the Moderation team.

DONT SHOUT! — We want JobFact to be a place where comments are constructive and reasonable. We won’t publish posts that include unhelpful remarks, libellous comments or personal attacks (including name, title, etc.). We will also refrain from publishing comments that are intended to spread rumours.

Don’t lose your temper!!!!!!! — We understand that sometimes talking about your work environment can get you worked up, but please note that aggressive or discriminatory language, or obscenities will not be tolerated in our Community.

Think about others — JobFact is about sharing information to help other existing and potential employees. It is a tool that could help you assess whether a particular role in a particular company is for you. Your post could even help the person that becomes your next colleague in the chair next to you. So, please relate your comments to a specific work environment and ensure that it is not too personal to expose any individuals. If your post does not comply with these guidelines, it won’t be published.

Watch your grammar — Your writing does not need to be perfect, but we expect (and appreciate) your best effort. If your post does not satisfy a minimum level of grammar, it will not be published.

Please remember, when you publish a "Salary" or a company "Review", an anonymous CV is automatically created for you and includes the basic data from your publication. This CV will allow you (or more accurately, your experience) to exist in the job market and be targeted by companies and professional recruiters but remain completely anonymous. It is therefore essential that the information you submit is accurate and truthful, so that when recruiters target you, they are not wasting your time or theirs.

We will reject any comment (and may even close the contributor's account) which does not comply with the rules above. These rules have been established for the benefit of our Community as a whole. In order to maintain the quality and standards of our service, our Moderation Team will review each and every post before it is published.

We truly appreciate all your effort to comply with these guidelines. Our Community’s goal is to offer members an insiders view of one of the most important aspect of our lives - our jobs. Thank you for your contribution!
